Stacy Aldridge Principal

August, 2018

Dear Skyway Students, Parents & Families,

The 2018-2019 school year affords all of us the opportunity to restart our engines to provide endless opportunities for student learning and success.  And while our address hasn’t changed, there have been significant school-wide improvements that will benefit all students.

  • A new playground surface on the west side of campus, providing increased safety for students.
  • Office remodel, featuring improved space efficiency and professional function.
  • Improved landscaping in the front of the building to simplify maintenance.
  • Installed pet waste containers in three locations, which has increased self-accountability of our neighborhood pet owners.
  • Installation of network cabling to enhance internet speed.
  • Addition of a mobile lifting device for interior wheelchair access to the upper building.

Once again, we celebrate our steady climb up the achievement ladder while continuing to improve our teaching practices.  Staff are planning engaging lessons, aligned to end-of-year targets, maximizing every minute of instructional time to support learning.  Be prepared for a call sharing your child(ren)'s success and ways we are supporting their needs.

Skyway traditions live on in many forms, and we encourage and welcome your attendance and participation.  Our website lists events and our newsletters capture additional opportunities to become involved.  Whether you would like to teach a lesson about your passion or read once a week to a student, we can meet all your volunteer needs.

I am continually grateful for the opportunity to serve as your building principal and look forward to an outstanding year.  We all appreciate your involvement in our community and commitment to the district’s vision of being an excellent school in our excellent district!

Respectfully,

Mrs. Stacy Aldridge
